Reflective words from CDPA Graduating Seniors...
Jessica Riker
Growing up, dance has always been a huge part of my life. Although I started out only doing Scottish in Virginia, moving to Florida and stumbling across CDPA has really given me the opportunity to expand and experiment with other styles of dance.
Becoming a part of the CDPA family has been one of the best things I’ve ever experienced and I’ve never felt so at home with a group of people before. Everyone was so welcoming when I first moved here and I immediately felt like I belonged. Over the past three years I have developed some amazing friendships that I will continue to hold close to me even after I move away for college. I am so thankful for the memories I’ve made with the other girls and my teachers.
Dr K has helped me grow not only as a dancer, but as a young woman as well. She has taught me many life lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life and for that I am very thankful. I hope to continue on my dance journey and take classes while I attend Florida Atlantic University in the fall.
